recorded as a warrior and Saxon King of
Horsa (? – 455?) Hengist’s brother. Death in 455 would put him well before
the start of King Arthur’s reign.

The later kings of

and Horsa mean Gelding and Horse and it may be that
these were titles derived from a cult of horsemanship.
Horsa was killed at the battle of Aegelsthrep in Kent (possibly Aylesford)
